Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2025
Company: Sequoia GEO (“Sequoia GEO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)
Website: https://www.sequoiageo.com (the “Site”)

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our Site, engage our services (e.g., SEO, PPC, LSAs, analytics), interact with our ads, or communicate with us. It also describes your privacy rights and how to exercise them.

Not legal advice: This policy is provided for general information. Your use of our Site and services is also governed by our Terms of Service and, if applicable, a separate service agreement.

1) What we collect

We collect information in three ways: (a) you provide it, (b) it’s collected automatically, and (c) we receive it from third parties.

A. Information you provide

  • Contact & business details: name, email, phone, company, role, service interests, messages.

  • Contract & billing (if you become a client): billing contact, address, invoicing details, payment method (processed by third-party providers; we don’t store full card numbers).

  • Content you submit: forms, surveys, testimonials, support requests.

B. Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, we (and our partners) may automatically collect:

  • Device/usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, time on page, referring/exit pages, and general location (city/region level).

  • Cookies, pixels, and similar tech: for analytics, site performance, ad measurement, and remarketing.

C. Information from third parties

  • Marketing/advertising partners: Google (Analytics/Ads), Meta, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Lead sources/CRMs: if you interact with our ads or sign up through partner forms, we may receive associated contact/engagement data.

2) How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide & improve services: deliver audits, campaigns, reports, optimization, support.

  • Operate the Site: maintain security, debug, measure performance.

  • Analytics & research: understand traffic and content performance (e.g., GA4).

  • Marketing & advertising: send updates you request, measure/retarget ads (where permitted by law).

  • Legal & compliance: enforce agreements, prevent fraud, comply with laws, respond to lawful requests.

Lawful bases (EU/UK/EEA users): consent, contract performance, legitimate interests (e.g., improving services, securing the Site), and legal obligations.

3) Cookies & tracking

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to run the Site, analyze usage, and advertise. Examples include:

  • Essential cookies: security, load balancing, user session.

  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4.

  • Advertising/retargeting: Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag.

You can control cookies via your browser settings. Some tools offer their own opt-outs (e.g., Google opt-out add-ons). Blocking cookies may limit Site functionality.

4) How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with:

  • Service providers/processors: hosting, analytics, email, CRM, payment processing, security, and customer support—bound by contract to use data only for our purposes.

  • Advertising/analytics partners: to measure performance and (where permitted) show relevant ads. Under California law, some of this may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • Business transfers: if we explore or complete a merger, financing, or sale of assets.

  • Legal & safety: to comply with law, enforce agreements, or protect rights, safety, and property.

5) “Sale”/“Sharing” disclosures (California)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA), using advertising cookies or analytics may be deemed “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We don’t sell personal information for money, but we may share identifiers and internet/activity information with advertising partners for the purposes described above.

  • Right to opt-out of “sale”/“sharing”: California residents may opt out by using our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link and by adjusting cookie preferences via our cookie banner or browser settings.

6) Data retention

We retain personal information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this policy, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or aggregate data. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose.

7) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is 100% secure; transmission of information over the internet carries risk. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately (see Contact).

8) Your choices

  • Email marketing: use the “unsubscribe” link in our emails or contact us.

  • Cookies/ads: manage cookies in your browser; use platform opt-outs (Google, Meta, LinkedIn).

  • Analytics: consider Google’s opt-out tools where available.
