Improve AI visibility without replacing your agency
Agency Responsibility Planner
You can keep your current agency if responsibilities, access and reporting are clear. First establish which work is already included. An additional provider should fill an evidenced gap, not bill twice for the same SEO work.
For each row, write the current owner, evidence of completion, next action and review date. Unknown means you need an answer, not that the work has failed.
1. Website access and crawlability
Who checks indexing, redirects, canonical URLs and crawler access? Ask for a dated check, not a blanket assurance.

2. Service and location information
Who verifies service coverage, business details, ownership and public contradictions?

3. Customer questions and proof
Who gathers original examples, gets permission and updates service pages?

4. AI observations
Who records fixed prompts, platforms, dates, repeated runs, recommendations and citations separately?
Your evidence / decision / next action:
5. Lead capture and handoff
Who verifies form delivery, booking capture and responsibility for responding?

6. Reporting and decisions
Who separates visibility from qualified inquiries and booked appointments? Who decides what changes next?

Keep the current arrangement when
The work is covered, evidence is available and there is an accountable owner. You may need a better reporting agreement rather than a new vendor.
Consider a focused addition when
There is a defined gap your current agency will not address, both providers agree on scope, and one person controls website changes. Start with a bounded engagement and a shared baseline.
Pause changes when
Two providers plan to edit the same pages, nobody owns measurement, or the proposed scope duplicates existing work. Resolve those issues before adding spend.
Questions for the joint meeting
What will change? Who approves it? Which URLs are in scope? What will stay stable? What evidence would make us continue, adjust or stop?
